Election and violence

I wonder holding a position in government is that really so satisfying and gratifying that candidates are willing to kill anyone just to win. Just a few more days and it's election again and I hear on the news of some candidates being ambushed here and there. I am quite malicious to think about this but I remember a very young candidate for governor in our province who is really a successful man. He has TV appearances and looks promising political leader. I can't remember clearly but I knew he did not live long because he died when his own car exploded. It's very lucky for candidates to escape death plotted by their opponents.

It's a dangerous and risky business to get into in our country where many people are poor losers. They use violence to win. Tsk..tsk...too bad.

Hi there. It's really ridiculous how these politicians act during the elections. It's crazy. I don't blame you for feeling that way, because I also do not understand why they would do those things just to get in office. But I think I know why. Because when they get elected, they will have the power they want, and would steal people's money and put those expensive taxes in their filthy pockets.

it's not just the position but the power that it holds that they are fighting. Sometimes when men got a taste of power, they enjoyed it too much they are willing to do dishonorable things to keeps their hold on it. Sad, that instead of service to the people , it's power that drive the politician to run for office.

Actually, I've been asking this question myself? why people are so obsessed with power? You see if you will try to compute the amount of honorarium that they will receive during their term, that would not be enough to cover all their expenses incurred during the campaign. Well, I am happy to be an ordinary citizen and if by any chance I could extend my help, never that I will enter politics. If the motive is to help, I don't need to be a politician to be able to help other people. Have a great day!
