Nowadays, there are many of us who firmly feel that if we think positively, we will be blessed with positive results. There are plenty of books written about the power and magic of positive thinking. There are plenty of positive thinking seminars being conducted Is this really true?Is it real that good thoughts produce good results and bad thoughts produce negative results? Is the beggar a person who always was thinking that he would become a beggar? Do not poor people often think about being rich? Then why do they remain poor?

There is a movie called "What the bleep do we know" were they have an experiment were they bring about 10.000 or 100.000 people to think happy thoughts in a community of millions (so under 1 percent of the population) and crime rate decreased by 5-6 percent, so this proves that having good thoughts will affect us and the people around us (and it goes the other way around for bad thoughts). Same goes for water, they had a similar experiment with water and labels sticked to them - the one with love was really beautiful while the one with a hate word was pretty ugly under a microscope.

Sometimes it's a case of self-fulfilling prophecy. The concept goes like this - if you think positive enough, persevere and you plan accordingly, you will get what you wanted - your goal. So basically, you were believing and acting in favor of what you wanted to achieve. It's not just the positive thoughts but also actions as well. So, positive thinking is just an ingredient, but not the whole thing.
