Help me, diet

How I love to eat. This is a negative statement. Why? Because it's so hard to stop when the food touches my tongue. Hahaha! I am always thinking about the widespread problem obesity. Of course, I don't want to join the group. But I can feel, if I will not do something, I'll be their President. I don't want this to happen. My family loves eating especially when my husband is here in the country. We used to go out once or twice a week. When I was younger, no kids and all, the food that I was taking had no results in my body. In fact, a lot of people told me that I was lucky - petite and no shape. But later, when I bore two kids, I noticed that my body was already reacting to it. My stomach is getting bigger and bigger. I tried to exercise like jogging with my friend for an hour a day. But when she stopped, I stopped. I wish I have the courage to jog alone. Second, I tried after-six diet. But since I am the chef in the family, it's tempting to eat what I cook. The best thing that controlled me was drinking slimming coffee. But I worried about it since it's China-made. I am a lazy gal. Can anyone suggest what I should do to keep fit?

primarily i would suggest paying attention to WHAT you cook....that is what has enabled me to drop 40 pounds in the months over the winter (when i generally put on weight since it is too cold to exercise and comforting. warming foods seem more desirable)....what has helped me out is incorporating more and more vegetables......making that the bigger part of my meal and serving up less carbs. i also try to do at LEAST one vegetarian dish per week.....and stay away from frying things...also, luckily i have a passion for creating yummy food in the kitchen.....(part of what keeps that passion alive is taking pictures of my meals and sharing them online and getting feedback on how amazing it looks..)...make me love the creative process of cooking things on my own......so i only MAYBE go out for dinner/take out once a month or so..
