Superstition Is The Creation Of Feeble Minds
June 16, 2013 2:24am CST
He is blind who believes anything blindly. It is a great surprise that superstition is created by feeble minds but followed by even the strong minds.Superstition is a senseless fear of God and poison of mind.It is the reproach of the deity.Superstition renders a man a fool, and scepticism makes him mad.Superstition is the worst thing for the children. The unripe minds of the children are badly affected by these things. The child taught to believe any occurrence a good or bad omen, or any day of the week lucky, has a wide inroad made upon the soundness of his understanding. In all superstitions, the wise follow the fools. If we are educated,we must try to remove this blind faith of uneducated persons.

Superstition is the result of the mind trying to make sense of something it cannot understand. We are hard wired as humans to lend rhyme and reason to the often unreasonable. Early man assigned gods to events in nature because he did not understand the mechanisms that created things like weather, volcanoes, comets and such. So the mind of early man created things that made sense to him based on their limited personal experiences and knowledge.
