Many times, those values do not include love (as you say) or even kindness. It is too easy to get into those working habits of value and emotion. The working person (and those who are not working, or retired) need to find a way to discriminate between those working (economic) values and the values of love and kindness. We have to pay attention to them and understand the difference. Outside of work, we need to nourish the values of love and kindness and try to create different habits of thought and action. Maybe we should try to not be too greedy or too ambitious. (?) - The higher the ladder, the harder the fall. - Be at peace with the child within, and know we are all children.
