Rules to Success

On a recent leadership webinar, the President of Heritage Makers shared some stories about achieving success. She took some excerpts from a speech by Steve Jobs delivered at Stanford University some years ago. I’ll summarize them here: The Rules to Success Rule #1 You have to have passion and love what you do! “It’s really hard to do it over a sustained period of time so if you don’t love it and you’re not having fun, you’re going to give up.” “You’ve got to find what you love … the only way to be truly satisfied is to really do great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet keep looking and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart you will know when you find it.” Do you love what you do? If your passion has died, all it takes a little fuel and a breath of fresh air to get it going again! Rule #2 Be a good talent scout “No matter how smart you are you need to find a team of great people. You need to be able to build an organization that will continue to build itself.” Sometimes it’s not who you know, but who knows who you know! If you got that last sentence, then let’s connect and see if we can help each other achieve more success. I’ve got the passion for my home business and I’m always looking for more great people.
