Popeye the Sailor Man is a cartoon fictional character created by Elzie Crisler Segar, who has appeared in comic strips and theatrical and television animated cartoons. He first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929; Popeye became the strip's title in later years.

wow Popeye is that old, I thought he is a 70's cartoon, I didnt know he started at 1929. I have a feeling his creator is not living anymore.

popeye is amarican cartoon. in the begging of this cartoon. popeye took his power from smelling garlic but in final season cartoon creates it change it to spinach. this is great cartoon.i am popeye da sailor man pip pip
