need help with connecting emulators to the web

Hey guys.I am playing some game with the desmume emulator.
I also heard that it is possible to connect to the internet using this.And then play with other players through it.And i have no idea how to use this desmume emulator to connect to the internet and play over it.So anyone out there who knows.please help me.
