Hey!.. This is my first article on mylot. I am Ria and I am a student. This article is basically about the shameful wastage of food in Indian weddings which is actually a great put-off in a hungry country like India! Usually people at weddings do not remember the beautiful decore, the heavy dresses or the gorgeous flower arrangements. All they remember is the FOOD! It has become a fashion in Indian weddings for the host to arrange for six to seven cuisines with innumerable varities. Does this actually show the lavish arrangements for the wedding? Hell no! Afterall a man is born with only one mouth which can gulp in only a certain amount of food. I recently attended my family friend's wedding. At the wedding I actually saw the surplous amount of food being dumped in the backyard. In a country which forms one-third of the worlds hunger population, in a country where people starve for a single roti, isn't it a striking eye-opener for everyone. With respect to the fact that the host wants to make sure there is no shortage of food they must keep a check of the excess too. Either give it away to the staff or preferably distribute it among the 230 million hungry population of our country! The arrangements of the wedding I just attended might cost 10 lakhs. I think simplicity can do wonders and having a simple dinner party with simple arrangements will definetely seem flawless and cause much lesser wastage. Therefore, it is a humble request that you make sure you dont waste food not only at hotels and restaurents, but also at home because every grain of food has your name written on it. If you have excess food give it away in an orphanage or simply to your neighbours but please do not dump it in the bin. Hopefully i will not find any more beggars scanning the bins again. Thankyou!

It is true.we should not waste food.some people dont have food to eat. They just drink water and sleep.we should give food to those who are in need.

Reaching on a profound level. As long as we be truthful to ourselves, and self-control is in charge, we would not be talking about it. Well, the rest of the degenerates won't have that audacity would they?
