Hot trend: Short Prom Dresses

The other night I attended my younger sister's pre-prom party. Looking at it from an outsider's perspective, the whole night is so crazy, but crazy in an amazing way. For months my sister shopped for the "right" dress, the perfect matching bag, and amazing shoes (but ones she could walk in, of course!). She spent the whole day before the big night getting her nails done, her hair blown out, and her makeup done. As always, my sister and her friends looked beautiful! It seems that this year short dresses are in. The girls were wearing solid colors such as black, white, and shades of blue. Silks, satin, lace, and even feathers spiced up many of the dresses, but the key this spring seemed to be keeping it short and simple. Almost everyone was wearing a short prom dress, showing off their legs and well-thought-out shoes. Looking back at my experiences at prom, I've realized that they were some of the best nights in high school. The long shopping process, the hours of getting ready, the picture-taking with your friends, and the beautiful dresses will always be such a memorable experience.
