FORTY IS THE OLD AGE OF YOUTH, FIFTY IS THE YOUTH OF OLD AGE

The only time you really live to fully is from thirty to sixty. THE FIRST FORTY YEARS OF LIFE, GIVES US THE TEXT, THE NEXT THIRTY SUPPLY THE COMMENTARY ON IT. OLD AGE IS THE MOST USEFUL AGE BECAUSE IT IS THE GREATEST BUNDLE EXPERIENCES.BUT WHEN MEN ARE FULLY EXPERIENCED, IT IS VERY SAD THAT THEY ARE RETIRED. IN MY OPINION, THEIR OPINIONS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE OPINIONS OF YOUNGSTERS. After retirement the advice of the old persons is not respected. Their own children keep an eye on the money which they get after retirement. THE OLD PEOPLE MAY BE TIRED BUT NOT RETIRED. OLD MEN MUST BE RESPECTED BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST ADVISERS. The young man who has not wept is a savage, and the old man who will not laugh is a fool.I believe that one has to be seventy before one is full of courage. The young are always half hearted.

How true this is. The elders in our culture are highly respected for their knowledge, advice, wisdom and stories of bygone days. I am so glad my adult children, while hurrying about their lives slow down their pace and stretch out their patience to listen and show their gratitude for a life well-lived and the chance to share it. Thanks for that.
