THE SMELL GOES WITH THE WIND BUT THE POPULARITY GOES EVEN AGAINST THE WIND.

Popularity is very hard to have but to maintain the popularity is harder. We know that everybody wants to be popular and nobody wants to be notorious. Fame and infamy both the things depend upon our good or bad actions. FAME IS THE ULTIMATE PASSION OF THE GREAT AND THE LITTLE. Some people say that fame is a very good thing but some people say that all fame is dangerous, , good brings envy, bad shame. Some say that fame is the perfume of heroic deeds. Fame always goes with the strong principles if followed strongly. Some great renouncers say that fame goes with the renunciation. ACCORDING TO ME HE WHO LIVES AND DIES FOR VIRTU'S SAKE AND FOR OTHERS HE BECOMES MOST FAMOUS. SOME GREAT PERSONS SAY THAT PROFIT, LOSS, FAME AND INFAMY ARE PRESENT IN THE HANDS OF PROVIDENCE.

I agree with your statements, I have often been touched by the actions of many a humble person. They go about their work with dedication of purpose and have reached the highest ranks of popularity and fame. Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi, The Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and of course the son of Africa and Father of the people; Nelson Mandela; sure to rest in peace... There are too many to list them all here.

Yes, you are right. I also like and respect these great persons equally. These names are inspiration to all of us.Only he is free who can think freely. He is free, who lives as he chooses.According to me, it is better to die on one's feet than live on one's knees. We should not underestimate anyone, one who thinks so is never underestimated. Thank you very much for a great comment.
