The beginning of the Harley Davidson started out in 1991 out of Milwaukee, where William S. Harley drew up a plan for a motorcycle that has now had an impact on the entire world! He then teamed up with his childhood friend Arthur Davidson to get to work on building the project. Working out of his friends home based machine shop, he completed the project in 1903. This was the start of what would be one of the most notorious motorcycle in the world. I wonder if he had any concept about what he created and how it would affect the entire world of motorcycling? The Harley Davidson started out what would be compared to an average person of the modern day a bicycle with a motor! But I'll say one thing, if I could find one and had a ton of money, I would by it in a heartbeat. But I bet someone like Jay Leno has at least one. I wish I were friends with him, because I would be in my glory just to see his collection! I love Harley Davidsons and also have as a kid. The photo to the left is me on my Harley around 14 years ago before my accident. After the major accident I have had, people ask me if I would ever ride again and without hesitation I always say yes. There's nothing like taking a ride on a nice day! The bike I was was a 1200 sportster, which was customized including the engine being bored out and customized. I purchased it new at Hempstead Harley Davidson in New York in 1999 at the cost of 18,500. One of my granddaughters has a Harley Davidson Barbie doll and I thought it was really cool, so I said to myself why not create a lens about this! I think there would be many harley Davidson lovers out there that would like to display one at home or give to someone as a gift. I mean why not, after all we're talking about Harley Davidson here!
