A Hobby which has no Age Barrier I remember when I was growing up there where Aurora and AFX slot car racing sets. I enjoyed the many hours I had playing with one and they also had magna traction cars, where they can stay on the track at all different angles. I also remember going to hobby stores where you can become a slot racing club member and compete against other members. When we raced it was great because each race was a few hundred laps and just like real racing. The hobby store had a huge race track setup and it was amazing. Everyone was trying to trick out the cars to be the fastest ones around. I remember buying a book on this and it gave you some tips, such as drilling little holes in the windshield to help keep the engine cooler, drilling out parts of the chassis to make the car a little lighter, etc. I say it's not so much about doing all that to your cars, but how skillful you are at driving them! According to research the slot car hobby is making a comeback. This is a great hobby to get into because it is good for all ages and boys or girls. I think that the adults seem to enjoy this hobby more than anyone and why not, it brings back some good childhood memories as well! I know I should have kept it but I just sold a 1986 Richard Petty slot car racing set in mint condition on Ebay for $50.00. I sell products on Ebay from time to time and I always come across items such as this from time to time. There are some items that I will keep for myself and others I will sell. Now if I come across any type of radio controlled helicopter, there is no way that I will sell it! This is my main hobby out of all the rest. Ebay and Amazon Two Great Places 1,000's of Deals! Who Says Quality Has to Drain Your Wallet I do almost all of my buying through Ebay and Amazon. The reason is as I stated before, they have been around forever, they have strict guidelines for their sellers, they offer great products and good customer service. These companies make their sites a safe place to purchase items from and have excellent products, so why would you want to shop elsewhere? Granted you can go to other sites offering high grade products as well, but you're going to pay a lot more for it! I just know that my budget can not afford it and I don't want to buy a product with 12 months of payments attached to it!
