I think that every child has had a Lego building block set at one time or another growing up. I think that a Lego building block set expands the child's imagination, which is a good thing! If it weren't for imagination, we wouldn't have the things we do today. It's amazing how you can just start out with a simple block and invent a creation of something you are thinking about. This is why I feel that this type of toy is great for the children. It gives them endless possibilities to design something by using their creativity and giving them a feeling of accomplishment. The types of things you can design with Lego building blocks are endless. I purchased a set for my three year old grandson and he loves them. If you're a parent let's not forget about one thing, ?It Keeps Them Busy?! Today they make such a large variety of Lego's compared to when we were kids. Lego's are made for both boys and girls and sell projects you can make such as cars, planes, boats, action figures and more. I think that they're good because you can just start out with a small set and then build on it. You don't have to go out a buy a giant set right away. Then you can go out and buy additional sets on what your child likes. I couldn't believe myself when I went online to take a look at the available Lego sets they now carry.
