Social Entrepreneurship As A Lifestyle

My answer became my purpose. In 2005 I founded Fairtrasa in order to help smallholders to improve and gain crucial access to global markets. We started in Mexico and now working with farmers in six countries. Our key innovation consists of a triple development strategy. By partnering with farmers who work for their livelihood, with others who have medium skill levels and others with enough experience, we can provide you with support of different level and type for each, helping everyone to improve their production and income, as well as its economic and ecological sustainability. The benefit that our farmers and communities have received has been substantial, as their incomes have risen up to 10 times. But the most important thing is that we have helped them to understand that they can change their own lives. As for me, my daily work is almost like it did before: business contracts, protecting Exchange and plan shipments. But, while you had a job, now I have a mission. I have discovered what it means to be a social entrepreneur, a concept that was alien when I started, but now identified as part of the person that I am. There are many entrepreneurs - it is a true revolution - and I think many others are also entrepreneurs social and still not have realized. Follow us:
