Mother- Love

Mother is a creator. She creates a new generation of living things. She keeps the world going. Only place where unconditional love resides is a mother’s heart. It is this unconditional love and care that creates a good human being and a good society and a liveable earth.
I want to tell a small story told to me by my father in my childhood. This small story is etched in my heart for ever. The story, though surely imaginary, explains fully “Mothers Love”
“A young man of 20 falls in love with a beautiful girl from the locality. He madly loved the girl. A few months after their first meeting the boy proposed his love to the girl. The girl expressed her doubt on his claim and wanted him prove his love for her. The boy was desperate and was ready to do anything, she may ask for, to prove his love.
The girl said “Can you gift the heart of your Mother to me?”
The boy without a second thought nodded his head and ran towards him home. Reached home, killed his mother and removed her thumping heart. He took the still thumping heart on his palm and started running in the direction of the girl. He trips and falls on the road with his face down and his palm near his head. The boy suddenly hears, above all noise, his mother’s voice coming from the heart and he could clearly hear her saying “Are you Ok son? Get up,run, love & be happy”.
The story explains the self-less love only a mother can have in their heart. To me, Mother = God.

Hi Santanu, your story is really terrible, but I agree with you, me too I think that Mother is god. I'm from Italy, in ancient Pagan times my ancestors worshipped the "Potnia Theron", the Goddess of Animals, the Great Mother.

Hi Fancy. You are right. The story, on the face, is terrible but it expresses a deep meaning. It says that unconditional, unparalleled self-less love resides permanently in a Mothers heart & only in a Mothers heart.
In India, most of the deities worshipped, are female. We always add Mother before the deities name Like - Ma Kali (Mother Kali), Ma Durga (Mother Durga), Mother Laxmi etc.
We should all respect and love any mother, with love, affection and respect she deserves.

No doubt that the mother is supreme in this world. No one could be like mother on this earth. We always feel closest to our mother because it is she who brings us in this world. We should always feel indebted to her.
