What kind of drill rig? My hubs has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years and over the past 10 that I've known him, I've learned more than I ever wanted to know about the industry. A few summers ago he took me on a tour of several rigs. A few things I learned.........wear old jeans and water proof boots! Rig sites are dirty places.

Its an oil rig. Yes, they are dirty places but being a student of geology, i.e earth sciences, we very frequently have to visit such dirty places. But we love going to such places. They are our laboratories.

I've never been on one but that sounds really cool. What is your masters coursework in that you are going to one for class?
