I didn't watch it. Rand Paul, my senator, was going to be there and I can't stand that man. As for Trump, I think the reason a lot of people like him is because he doesn't subscribe to the "politically correct language" garbage. I think a lot of people in this country (the "silent majority" of so long ago) are sick of PC language and politicians retracting what they say when they're called on it ("Oh, I didn't mean to insult turtles, some of my best friends are turtles"). Trump speaks his mind and doesn't back down or kowtow to media/public pressure, and I think that's his appeal. I would say "part of his appeal," but I have no clue what this man's platform is so, to me, it's his only appeal.
