Paint Your Own Pottery Event!

I found this on a deal site, and thought about doing it. It explains you pick a piece and paint it, they will then coat it, and vanish it. It was $11 for the event, which I thought was a reasonable price. I just never have done anything like this before to wonder if it's worth it. I asked a friend and her daughter if she wants to go with me. Have you ever done an event paint your own pottery? How did it turn out?
