Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm at the place in which I have the opportunity to purchase another remote control drone before the FAA starts regulating them. $55 isn't too bad for a decent drone, but with the cost of shipping it'll be $79.99 and in my mind $79.99 is almost the same as $100. You have to understand, spending $100 on myself for an unnecessary item is hard to do since I've been a parent for so many years. In fact, I cringe at spending $100 on a pair of shoes. It was fine to do when I was single and had no one to be responsible for. With kids, they always come first for everything. Of course I should mention they are grown now and are able to provide for themselves. I guess I should work on the mental block preventing me from buying new toys for myself now that there's no reason to have it anymore because I really want that drone.

You are such a good daddy! I remember spending huge amounts of money on myself (until kids entered my life). If I told you what I used to spend on shoes alone, you would probably freak out! lol! I think that you deserve that drone! You have raised your children, have sacrificed many things and was a responsible dad.. Now it's your turn! You deserve a gift for your years of dedication to your offspring. Enjoy!

I guess my lousy $79.00 selfish purchase is nothing compaired to a woman that would blow $250 for a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Frankly, I can only advise you this: Save the dough. Spend it on the family. They will appreciate it more than the store you buy the drone from. Try visiting some parks where others are playing their drones, and ask them to let you give it a go. Fly once, and perhaps you might not find it as fascinating as it looks, and hey, I would have save you the "$100." Remember to come back and thank me then. Hahaha...
