6 AM and still Dark

It sure was nice to have daylight before 6 am for a while,and light until close to 10 pm. Now it is still dark out and it is getting dark at night earlier every day. School will be back in session soon and fall will be here again,which means winter is just around the corner. Why does it seem like summer flies by so quickly and winter lingers on forever. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was anticipating the warm weather and could not wait to get flowers and garden plants in the ground,and now the summer is just about over. Hopefully we will at least have a warm September this year and with the el nino that is predicted a winter that is a lot warmer than last year.
