Battle of the series - Harry Potter Vs Percy Jackson

After I finished reading Harry Potter and I was looking for something new to read, I saw the book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The book was about demigods - children of the gods of Olympus. So i thought I would give the book a try. I'll tell you - I was hooked right away. I loved the books. In fact, I almost love them better than I do the Harry Potter series, which I adore. [Similiarities Child with black hair and green eyes Prophecy Two guys and a girl teaming up Girl is the brains of the outfit Blond guy who is enemy of main character Not hard to see why I love the series, right? Differences Two series rather than one Other kids get to 'save the day' in the books besides just Percy One of the 'trio' is not a human That being said, Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart. But I'm definitely finding that there are other treasures out there to be found. :) Anyone else read both series? Love to hear your thoughts!
