Which Presidential Candidate are you Leaning Towards?

We have a little over a year to decide who our next president is going to be. How exciting! Are you going to vote? Which presidential candidate are you interested in, and how much do you know about their platform? Which points do you agree with, and why?

I have not decided yet who I like. I know who I don't. That is basically most of the ones running. But, I don't rule out voting out 3rd party candidates and I need to give some thought there. So far, there are not many of them that have declared. I know 3rd party won't win, but if they get 5% of the vote, next time they will get federal campaign funds. So, if we have to lose a bit to gain later on, I can live with that.

@RachelDSims24 I just found that out during the last election. It's hard to get there because so many people think they are throwing their vote away if they vote for anyone but the two major parties, but I think it can be done.

@Gwensmom I think it can, too! Especially with the huge rise in trying to get Millenials to vote (my generation). The campaign to try and get people 18-34 to vote is bigger than ever right now.

I actually didn't know that. So if you get 5% of votes, you'll be funded by federal campaigns next time? That is wonderful news. I'm a huge advocate for third party runners.

I will vote, but I don't really like any of them too much. I suppose if I had to pick I would pick Bernie Sanders at this exact moment.

Same! I disagree with a few of his points, but for the most part I'm loving his platform. Unfortunately, what I do agree with that he's discussed simply sounds too good to be true, you know?

@RachelDSims24 I agree. He is who I seem to be disagreeing with the least if that makes any sense.

@MakingCents When deciding between potential presidents, it's really just deciding who is the best out of all the evils.

I'm very unpolitical. I don't really follow politics in anyway and in fact other than Hillary and Trump I couldn't even tell you who is/might be running. Out of those two I would go with Trump.

Truthfully right now, I dislike everyone! I'm certainly not a fan of Trump or Clinton though. I really hope some better candidates come along as things progress.

I don't dislike them. I'm just not just learning toward any of them. No matter. With God's grace, I'll survive the next 4 to 6 years no matter who ends up in the White House. First POTUS I even remember was Eisenhower. Lived through all the presidents that came after and with the circus that's unfolding, I've decided that I'm too old to care.

I have little idea about the politicians of your country. You have a presidential form of government whereas we Indians have to elect our Prime Minister.Naturally I would like to favour someone who is pro-India to be the President of your country.

When you say pro-India, what do you mean? What is the relationship like between the US and India from your point of view?
