I had wrote about the traffic woes here in Manila in a previous post (link below). It seems though that the traffic only gets worse and worse and worse with no solution in sight. Of course, just last night traffic was at a standstill because of the sudden downpour. The streets were in a gridlock up to as late (or early, depending on how you look at it) as two in the morning. Hapless commuters and motorists were only on their way home when they should have been fast asleep and resting. Traffic was so bad that half of the metropolis was transformed in a virtual parking lot! Only, the nightmare of being stuck in traffic was real!!! Were you ever stuck in traffic so bad that you wished upon the heavens to just strike you where you stand and the land to open up so that it will swallow all the traffic and be gone forever? In the latest Traffic Index report Manila was ranked third among Asian countries and fifth in the world in the list of countries with the worst traffic. Of course, you can give a positive spin to this and say that traffic is so bad already that it is bound to improve. I say that with traffic so bad, there really is nowhere to go. You think traffic is bad now... wait until the Christmas rush ushers in!
