Marijuana and legalization - my stand

I know my bro Lamby is dead against the weed, and he is more intelligent and knowledgeable than me. But he would still let me opine. I am for legalization of marijuana. I am not sure I would be able to watch my father suffer when there is a pain reliever like that on hand. I may and that is a strong possibility, turn to illegal ways of procuring it, whatever be the consequences, and however bad my relationship with my parent have been. Ditto for me. I see no point in me suffering if I can get something like that. Now, as to costs. Unless its legalized, costs will not come down. Once costs start coming down, it will become non-viable "narcotic" for some dealers, who will pack their bags and move to other drugs, where competition will increase and they will end up killing themselves, which I think is good for the world. I could be imagining of course. But then, are we imagining the increase in crime rates with Marijuana? Yes, accidents have gone up. My bro is right about aggression too. But otherwise, all other crimes attributable to the weed have actually come down in Washington state, which was a bit surprising, unless those are manipulated figures. Will taxes help to keep social security running. I hope so. My take ..I am willing that the hemp be legalized because if at all, we see loved ones suffering NOW rather than extrapolate crime rates which will be projected statistics One is a TRUTH NOW Another MAY BE A TRUTH LATER. In this context, I would rather focus on the truth now and cross the bridge when the time comes. While on this, I don't think weed sellers want it legalized, because they can foresee their business getting tougher. Moreover, it will stop money becoming black, and less money will go into terrorist outfits. If I have to imagine that is. Demand for other narcotics will also come down slightly because when the kick is available easily some will not go for serious stuff. Net net, it is thumbs up for the weed legalization.

I agree with you Vandy. I am for it. It has been legalised here in Colorado for a long years now and it has made the state rich beyond all along with helping very sick people and children. It is the best I say. I do not smoke it, cannot smoke it, but wish I could haha

I agree with what you said and with the other commenters here. There's not much I can add, you did a great job summing this discussion up.

I didn't mention that the narcotics department would get additional force for dealing with more serious stuff instead of chasing the weed.

@vandana7 yep. in my book chasing weed whackers is about as dumb as prohibition. Let's worry about actual crimes committed against the innocent.
