it feels so good to go to the supermarket with a specific budget in mind and spend less than you anticipated! usually we try to spend around $125 or less per week (just for two of us! cost of living where we are is expensive). i went by myself after work and spent $90, $30 less than expected! of course i did get a lot less than usual, because last week we ate out a few nights, and i had to buy lunch thursday and friday because i was away training. but still. it feels really good

spending under a set goal is great, then you get home and realize you forgot bread, soap and butter, lol

When going shopping weather it be food or clothes I love saving some money! At the grocery store I always look for items on sale or buy 1 get 1.

I have reduced sugar based food products. And this has now started to save a lot of money to me. I am not buying cheese, butter and other similar products. I am thinking of buying the product which are good for the health. Most of the healthy products are not expensive. It's just thaat it is rather harder to buy the limited number of food products based on budget these days.

I always set a budget when food shopping and i always spend less than what i plan too. I try to buy things that our on sale to save money.

I'm always happy when I'm able to save and not just in grocery shopping but in other expenses as well.
Good for you that you are able to save some on grocery shopping. Every little bit counts when it comes to saving.
