Why I no longer use apps to find out who unfriended me on facebook

Over the past few years there have been many apps to find out who has taken you off their friends list on facebook. I used to love the app and would check them all the time to see who removed me. Most the time I wouldn't care when I got removed but sometimes it really kicks you in the gut. I got sick of feeling so down when people deleted me so I was actually glad the last time the most recent app got shut down. I will no longer be using any apps like this in the future. Facebook always shuts down any apps that allow you to see who unfriends you. I am not sure why it isn't allowed but facebook refuses to allow them anymore.

I have never used an app like that before, but I am sure it could get depressing like you said. I personally don't care to see.

I only have a little over 200 friends anyway, so if someone unfriends me I can usually tell by the difference in my news feed. If someone posts a lot but then suddenly disappears, I will go to that person's page to see if we are still friends. I've been unfriended by family before. That certainly bites. hehe

I have around 500. Sometimes people post so much that I do notice when I don't see there posts for awhile and then like you I go look at their profile and see that I was removed. Sometimes I have asked people why. I hate the lame excuses sometimes. I never remove anyone unless they are mean to me. If you think they post to much or you don't like what they post you can just hide them from your feed.

@shaggin Exactly. There are ways of not having to see stuff you don't want to see without unfriending someone. That's what happened to me, actually. A family member didn't like a political cartoon I posted and made the lame excuse that she couldn't figure out how to get rid of it while staying friends. So, I guess the philosophy we should follow is...heck with 'em if they don't want to be friends. We can move on with life with or without them.
