Using the Dying in Ads

I'm outraged by the local hospice organization's series of ads. They feature dying people praising the company (called Hosparus), then at the end, showing the individual's name and birth/death dates. I think using dead people to sell the product is INCREDIBLY tacky. Yes, they have permission, but I still find the ads offensive. It may be personal: my neighbor died of lung cancer last year, and hospice wasn't much help to her or her family. So am I showing "sour grapes," being too sensitive, or is this just a poor advertising scheme?
