Does cats get bad dreams?

I have a kitten that always sleeps on my bed which is where my computer is. She was sleeping, then all of a sudden she raised up and started meowing, and looking everywhere around the room like she was scared. I asked her what was wrong, and she kept on meowing. Eventually, she laid back down and went back to sleep.
I guess cats and animals get bad dreams just like people does.

i think they do.my tux girl moves a lot in her sleep,and my calico talks in her sleep a lot.who knows what they're dreaming about tho.a nightmare could be a bare spot in an otherwise full food bowl to them..
