I am a blessed mother of 1 year 3 months old boy. I had a c-section. I was in depression after delivery because of some family situation. i did not take care of myself. But all that has been passed. I have a problem. It's been an year but still sometimes i feel severe pain in my stitches. I feel pain while walking. i just became unable to handle or carry my boy. Can anyone suggest anything?

I have had 3 C-sections .. our bodies never go back like they once were. Sometimes I still get pains but they are not bad and not often. You should not be hurting like that. I would say to go to the doctor but this is not always an option. In that case you could use oils to help ease the pain, peppermint might help. It works for my hands. Your abdominal muscles might still be weak. Try yoga to strech and tighten the muscles maybe some crunhes too. Go slow and easy, it's much harder to get your belly stongs again after a c section than a normal birth. I hope you find a way to easy the pain.

She needs to consult a medical professional, not take matters into her own hands at this point. With that much pain, serious complications and other issues absolutely need to be ruled out.

@Jadedjinn I really have to thank you for mentioning peppermint oil earlier. I had some on hand for pest deterrence but had completely forgotten that it's supposed to help pain. I tried a bit tonight and it's worked almost as well as the medication I'm supposed to take for my fibromyalgia symptoms, which I just ran out of. So thank you!

Yes, I suggest you go back to your doctor. You shouldn't be in pain after all this time.

You need to talk to your doctor. That sort of pain is not normal.
