As G4 nations leaded by India is pushing with all its might for a permanent UNSC member bid. These nations rightly deserve the place. When UN was set up in 1945 there were only few nations. Now the number of nations has increased 4 TIMES. So UN is due for a reform. As at the beginning some 10% of the total members were considered which amounted to be 5. So, if the same mathematics is implemented now the total nations should be 20. The global economy has changed, the world has changed. One can't keep a rule of mid 90's in 21st century. Between some nations are trying pull other growing economy for their inferiority complex. Lo, I am not surprised to see Great Pakistan (heaven for terrorist and a terrorist country itself) leading the pack. It is still stuck in 90's and jihad and Kashmir while the neighbor has reached MARS. I feel pity at their mental psychotic mentality

Pakistan is a lost nation now being led by the ISI and terrorist groups calling the shots ! It is our misfortune that a part of us is stabbing us in the back ! However, once India takes a firm step under Modis leadership I am sure Pakistan will be put in its place !

@kiran8 it is like a bomb is given in monkey's hand. Same situation is with Pakistan. They don't have the maturity nor the mental capability to handle nuclear weapons. Basically it was China's gift to them. So, there is a constant worry when your neighbor behaves like a psychotic patient in an mental asylum.

@mkrnex I totally agree with that, and all the more reason to dump all nuclear weapons from this earth. Why invent such mass destruction weapons in the first place and with self destructive countries like Pakistan one can never be sure ..

@kiran8 I feel if they are about to be destroyed, assume even by an earthquake they would want to take India with them and use their nuclear weapons. Their first target is Mumbai!

@mkrnex,India would already have become a permanent member in the UNSC had our first PM Nehru had not handed over the membership to China then.India was offered a seat in the UNSC.So far as Pakistan is concerned,I think we should have let the country partitioned.I am sure Modi is not going to leave the problem unsolved. He's a strict PM,and will follow a realistic policy towards both our enemies.

@mkrnex Sorry, dear. There's a mistake in my response. The third line of my response is actually this,''I think,we should not have let our country partitioned.'

Ya, Nehru has left a great headache legacy to the Indians to savor. His achievements were unique. I don't know how people elected such an useless man to be the prime minister of India. Sardar Vallabhabai Patel was the right choice or Subhash Chandra Bose if he had lived. For 60 years, such pathetic rule. No words to describe the golden era of Indian Democracy!
