Is Jon Snow (Game of Thrones) really really dead?

I just recently finished the last season of the Game of Thrones series. Though I heard a lot of spoilers regarding the death of one of my favourite characters, I still can't believe it until I saw the last episode of the season.
I am not sure if Jon Snow will come back from the dead. However, his character was build up so well and it would be a waste if he will just die. His true identity is even not discovered yet and it will be so sad if he will not come back from the dead.
Do you think Jon Snow will come back to life? Share your thoughts.

I am also hoping that the author will him back to life. I just do not know how he will do that. But I am really excited.

i"m a little bit late to this thread but when I searched game of thrones it came up so I wanted to give my input. I dont believe the character's gone for good. There are three possibilities I can think of that would bring jon snow back (two that would make me happy and one that wouldn't make me so happy). Theories of mine aside, I think there is still too much of the character's back story that hasn't been resolved yet to have jon snow be gone from the series for good.
