Close Encounter of The Squirrel Kind!

While fence painting yesterday, a Grey Squirrel joined me, sitting on top of said fence, within arm's length, so close I could see he/she's, little heart beating away, and the sun reflecting in it's big eyes. So we just sat looking at one another for around 10 mins, the conversation a little one-sided, simply greeted by an odd blink or flick of a bushy tail...a strange encounter, I thought, having my painting efforts, supervised by a Squirrel, kind of 'Alice in Wonderland-ish'...even 'curiouser', as I'd recently read and commented on @pgntwo squirrel antics post, and bemoaned the demise of the RED squirrel, to the Grey! So maybe he/she/it, just stopped by to remind me that, a squirrel of any colour, is just a Red squirrel of a different hue, and equally deserving of my attention! ...and then scampered off across my newly painted fence. Another LIFE lesson, maybe.

@bookbar - Ms Jenny - Talking to a squirrel is far more beneficial in all respects than is talking to oneself. (Enjoyed reading your post...)

They are cute, no matter if red or grey, they are nice little creatures. I remember that one climbed on the shoulder of my husband to steal a peanut.
