A busy day today, but lots of writing online in the morning and during my two library visits. You can only use computers for one hour in the libraries so I hopped from one branch to another. I had to sign on for my welfare benefits, which went smoothly enough. I expect them to put pressure on me when conscription course or work placements can be found. They seem to be struggling on that at present. It is overdue. My Mum had some of her old school friends staying for a visit. I decided to stay out at the libraries and later in a local bar to let them chat and reminisce without me there as a distraction. My mum’s friends, who stayed overnight, had gone to bed when I arrived home. Arthur Chappell
