yes i love to. i like all the dishes cooked out of prawns. check out some of the prawns recipe, they are really delicious! try it out
1.Crispy Prawn Fry
Ingredients
250 gms medium Prawns
1/2 cup Gram Flour
1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Method:
Shell the prawns and de-vein them.
Marinate the prawns with red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt.
Make a thin batter of gram flour, add the prawns to it.
Heat oil in a kadai, drop a spoonful of batter and fry them slowly till it turns golden brown.
Serve hot with Tomato Sauce.
Note: You can also use it as a side dish.
2.Dry Prawns Fry Recipe
Ingredients
Dry prawns - 100 gm
Small onions(Kunjulli) - 20 nos
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 stem
Salt - As reqd
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
Preparation Method
1)Wash and clean the dry prawns.
2)Strain the water.
3)Fry in a pan for few minutes till it becomes golden brown.
:- Do not add oil.
4)Make a paste of pepper powder, chilly powder and salt.
5)Add the fried prawns to this, mix well and keep aside for 10 mins.
6)Cut the onions into thin pieces.
7)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
8)Saute the onions.
9)Add curry leaves and prawns to this.
10)Cover and cook for 2 mins on low flame.
11)Remove the lid and again fry for few more minutes.
Do not add too much of oil.
12)Once the prawns and the masala are mixed and fried well, remove from flame.
Serve hot.
3.Crunchy Prawn fry
Ingredients:
Prawns-250g
Egg yolk-1(beaten)
Pepper-1tsp
Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Rusk Powder-200g
Corn flour-1tsp
Milk-3 tbsp
Baking soda-1 pinch
Salt-as required
Oil-for deep frying
Method
Marinate the prawns with chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt and pepper.Leave it for 15 minutes. Mix corn flour, baking powder,salt & Pepper to beaten egg yolk.Add milk. Mix well. Dip each prawn in the batter, dust it with the rusk powder, and deep fry until golden brown and well cooked(~5 minutes).Transfer it to a paper towel and eat it as an appetizer/side dish.

PRAWN BIRYANI
Ingredients
4 tablespoons oil
2oz butter
4oz whole blanched almonds
2 onion, sliced in rings
1 clove garlic, crushed
5 cardamon pods, ground
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground fenugreek
8oz long grain rice
1 pint light stock
12oz peeled prawns
Lemon slices
Method
Heat half the oil and half the butter, gently brown the almonds. Remove from the pan and reserve. Fry onions and garlic in the same pan to golden remove from the pan and reserve with the almonds.
Add the remaining oil and butter, stir in the spices and rice cook for a further minute. Pour in the stock, bring to the boil and stir. Lower the heat to simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the prawns, re-cover and cook for 5 minutes or until rice is cooked. Mix in the almonds and onions serve with lemon.
