Duh - why didn't I think of tying them up?

I was talking to my neighbor yesterday and mentioned that I planned to cut our tall ornamental grasses today. I complained about the mess it makes and he said "Why don't you tie them off in bunches before you cut?"
Duh! Of course! I did that today - so much easier. there was still a little cleanup of short pieces but so much easier than usual!

bless yer heart, i learnt that years 'go when i'd huge clumps 'f pampas grass growin'. glad'ja got that friendly tip coz it surely makes that task so much easier! do ya put the trimmin's in a compost pile? use 'em 's mulch?

@pcunix well, 'least they aint jest sittin' in the landfill. i'm quite partial to my own compost pile myself. nice 'n handy.
