Moses Lake, Washington

Autumn is here. Said before and said now. Our arid sunny skies have skedaddled. Peter burro is a guy who chose to stand out in the night without a rain coat. Hubby made a nice burro den but Peter chooses to ignore the shelter. Hubby fries butcher bacon and home eggs. I hope this rain spit does more than tickle the dirt. I hope the fruit tree roots are nourished and plumped with damp. I've been out in my shirt sleeves, standing, watching Canada geese settle onto the seasonal lake below. A month from now I could be shivering in a jacket. For now I choose to question the saneness of walking without even a sweater as the sun peeks timidly from behind clouds.
