Don't trust these extensions

One would think because they are Chrome extensions we are protected. I was wrong. I had talked about some words getting underlined and changed to capital letters in an earlier post as also Ads appearing at odd places. I had brought this to the notice of @myLotBugs. On their recommendation I set my Chrome settings to default and all is well now. I could never have imagined Chrome Extensions having hidden motives. .

We download blindly thinking that Chrome is above all this. But there are programmes hidden in them.

I haven't seen anything like this for a long time, but it happened to me a couple of years ago and it took days before I realised what the cause was. I can't remember where I got the extension from now.
