Clearing your Body With A Walk On The Wild Side!

Ever walked through a Pine Forest and wondered why your lungs feel so refreshed? There is a very good reason! Pines contain an anti-inflammatory compound, called a-Pinene, abundant in conifers. It is commonly used as a bronchodilator for Asthma sufferers, AND is present in abundant quantities in the Marijuana plant. So taking a few big sniffs, on your next forest walk, might clear your lungs and lift your spirits.

@bookbar Sheesh, I forgot Thetford forest, I haven't been there since we had a dog many years ago. I remember she got a tick, so never went back, though of course we drive past it on the way to Yarmouth.

Maybe that's one of the reasons they started doing Xmas trees. Nothing like a breath of fresh air for the holidays. :P

@OneOfMany .. Don't know about 'some houses', there was a time, not too long ago when every house in Britain was heated by coal fires, the one resource we had plenty of....

Now, for me, to actually find a pine forest around here. maybe I should look to buy some small pines for my yard. I would have to travel to find a place this nice.

@bookbar Well, then I guess that's it for me. I have to live as I am living. But they do have those dwarf ever greens though, right? I mean I have seen them in front of some houses where I live and they are not that tall at all.

@inertia4You might need to keep them confined if you did,, which is why so many Pine forests over here, they do like to shoot skyward, rapidly which is why forestry commissions love them for their wood.

@nanette64 Go take a sniff, if you come back more 'giggleworthy' than usual, we'll know they do, and you'll be on a high, before 'the bottle' slides out of the cupboard.

When I was young, I lived in the Philippines . . . I was born there actually. We used to go to the fields during rice harvesting season . . blue sky, sunny, warm not hot, breezy, and the air smells so fresh. I miss it!

@garymarsh6 Perhaps you too should try @crazyhorseladycx 's suggestion and pop some needles into hot water!
