Have you ever had the eerie and unnerving feeling that ......

you've been through something or been somewhere before? Sometimes this feeling is so intense that we actually may feel that we have been through this event before, either in this life or another. Now researchers feel that it is actually the result of a miscommunication in the brain. It happens when you see something that has a familiar pattern that you can’t quite place, or a location you might have seen in a book or in a movie. And other theorists say that deja vu happens when parallel universes temporarily sync, and that it’s an indication that you’re experiencing the same thing somewhere else. At Colorado State University researchers have found that they can actually cause people to have feelings of deja vu under carefully controlled circumstances, and they did it using video games. One fringe theory says that deja vu happens when two universes, normally separate, are temporarily in sync. “When some French were assembling an encyclopedia of paranormal experiences, they decided to leave déjà vu out, because it was so common it could not be considered paranormal.” —Kim Stanley Robinson, Galileo’s Dream What are your thoughts on this issue? it is somehow similar to my post of reincarnation. I don't believe it then but some of the members had experience that they have seen the place and they knew where to go . Maybe it might have occurred to some but to this day I still have not experience it

@jstory07 Maybe you will. These are the mysteries that can never be explained but you can only accept.

@celticeagle absolutely! Exactly! And sometimes (if not most) I'm not even sure where I saw it.

@celticeagle Yes, it really is hard to pinpoint. It's kind of creepy to have that feeling that you been somewhere before.

That is amazing and it sounds very logical. I always thought it might of come from seeing something on TV or in a film and then one day you run across this place and you knew you had seen it before but you keep think I have been here before. Yes you were there before when you saw it on TV.

This happens to me frequently and as I have gotten older I become more fey. Hard to explain but I just 'know' things.

@cynthiann ...Hard to explain? Why? What do you mean by 'fey'? Second sight? Fairy? What!? My GM has SS and so does my daughter.

I think it must be brain confusion and as you say it has been induced in Colorado that seems to clinch things.

A more logical mind might think so.

I think that scientists want to explain everything using logic, but this is not always possible. I do not believe in this theory.

I have issues with it as well. Have this feeling and I don't think it was because my brain wasn't functioning right.

I don't think that the scientists have a true handle on it either
