You Just Can't Win

Congrats to the people of Los Angeles For saving on water the last few months, but you screwed Corporate America in doing so. Talk about a catch 22. The government tells us we need to save on water or we will run out. That to me seems like it would be the most devastating thing that could happen to Corporate America. The next is that so many people did conserve. People ended up costing utility companies 100's of millions of dollars in lost revenue. That is just in the LA area because the whole state is using a lot less water. Anyway, DWP rewarded their customers for their sacrifice by raising their prices to about 3 dollars more a month to make up for the lost revenue. That's the conserved rate also. So you still cannot water your lawn and now have to pay more. I am just wondering if DWP did anything to lower their cost like their customers did? My guess is probably not because they know they can just pass it on to their customers. Life is great for your average corporation. Not so great for your average working citizen. Mitt Romney was right. Corporations are the new people in the United States. The rest are just here to pay for everything the people at the top want. Stop doing the right thing because you can't win with these corporations.... I mean people.

We have to pay more for our water in the summer.

That is because people use more water in the summer as a collective. I can see that, but when most everyone uses less. It should not go up even more. They are not going to fix this problem with money. People need to change their lifestyles. I think many people did. Just once again was not the people at the top who use the most water in the first place.
