Conservative vs New Conservative

We've all met conservative people. You know, those self-righteous people who insist on maintaining a strict traditional moral standard. But have you met The New conservatives? Oh ho ho, these fine pieces of work are another piece of work altogether. They pretend to be cool and in with the times but underneath all that theatrics, they're still selling old traditional moral standards of cognition and behaviour. They just don't do it in the old way. Don't be fooled though. They're not interested in logic. They're not untreated in embracing change. They're not interested in accepting new ideas. They just wanna look like they are.

That's the thing though. Neither group is reLly open to the others ideas. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and beliefs, but the reality is that the two sides will never see eye to eye

That's very unfortunate. Without the desire to see new perspectives, one will always be locked into to archaic ideas and methods. Sure, one can be steadfast and live one's life according to these guarded principles, but one cannot reap the benefits from the changing times. In the most extreme case, one might even become regressive.

@yeezermac I don't worry myself with other people's views and opinions. I enjoy hearing them but I won't waste my tme trying to change them,

Hmm. I'd probably have trouble telling the difference unless there are examples. But I've had my share of experience dealing with people who are high-strung when it comes to embracing change.

Let me share my examples, then you share yours ok? Conservatives say, "You must believe in the same God as I do. If you believe in another God, you are not my friend" New Conservatives say, "You can believe in any God you want, I'm cool with that. But if you believe in another God, you are not my friend"
