Will I get benefitted if I invest in mutual funds?

I have a question always in mind. I heard that people say to invest in mutual fund to not bear risk. Is it really safe out there?
What is the return that i get from there a month or year?
What is the minimum capital i need to start my career in mutual fund?

I wished I knew the answer to your question, but I do not. I would hire a broker to answer that type of questions. My brother in law has a broker he deals with in New Jersey, but I do not. He has more money to invest in such, that we do.

I really wanted to invest in such schemes so that it could get me some return in life. I already have a savings of 300$ in India, which is a big amount as far as living here is concerned.

I can only answer you friend what is happening in Philippines' mutual fund ok?
Minimum capital - Php5,000.00
Gain - around 25% a month depends on your mutual fund provider
How do you gain - capital gain from the shares you have bought
If you are risk avert - go to for mutual funds that invests only in bonds
If you are risk taker - go for mutual funds that invests in equities/stocks

So if i am a risk taker, will my return be increased? And to start investing in there should i complete any basic age or something and is there any complex procedures needed to be an investor for the first time?

@rahulvsmokiee it is not complicated to open an account for that. It is just as easy as ipening a bank account. But you need to be 18years old. But that is Philippines. I really do not have any idea about India.
