We are planning to travel to Rome sometime in December with my toddler (20 months). Any idea/suggestion where we can go/what to do to keep him entertained?

Your interests and that of your toddler may clash somewhat. Atleast one thing that you can surely do is to throw 3 coins in the Trevi Fountain and make your three wishes

HAHA that's a good suggestion. I might wish that he will not throw any tantrums so everybody can enjoy the trip.

make sure y ou have a 4x4 pram - the roads are not easily walkable for a toddler

Yes, we plan to bring a pram. But thinking if we will bring the sturdier Urbo or the Chicco umbrella type pram.

@cessy_08 it'll be tricky with your toddler there. Bringing stuff for him to do on the plane. Something I've heard from other parents.

Thanks! This is also my first trip to Rome so I have no idea, plus bringing a toddler is another challenge.

@dodo19 Oh yes, all we have in our handcarry are our props to keep him entertained! Plus a 4-hour flight to Rome is not too bad. We have been to a 16-hour flight with him already xD Can't get worse than that..

We were in Rome last June when it was filled with tourists.I remember we were walking 12- 14 kms each day to see all the places.I guess with a toddler you need to really plan your activities..

Yes! We used to travel (without the baby) and long walks were always a thing. But now, I think we really have to travel smart.

As long as you do as the Romans do, you'll be alright.
