Yesterday while going through my notifications i noticed on one older post there were a dozen comments that I had never seen and or replied to, never gave back to my friends who took the time to read and write on my story???
I'm guessing the notifications don't always get to the "Notification list".
So this morning I started with the first post and worked my way to the third post taking care of overlooked comments and there are another 10 or twelve I've never seen before.
So, I will not be writing anything new until I go through my posts and make sure I returned your comments and finished the conversations.
I don't have many 18 or 19 I think, so it might take me all day but it will get done,
I am so enjoying my myLot experience. It is a beautiful site and so organized.
I'm not complaining about the notifications, just making sure I don't ignore those who take the time to visit. i want them to come back and know that I do take the time to return comments.
When I get this done I will be telling you about running into a friend from 1967 on the internet... What a surprise. The internet makes the world shrink.

@Missmwngi I was amazed how many I missed, it was awesome to see so many commenting on my posts. Did i mention I like this web site.

I try to get back to everyone. The funny thing is here on this site, every time I do it my bank moves up. I'm not here for the money but I laugh (to myself when I see people who ARE here for the money never comment but just like...

I often do that... 'pop' back to my recent posts, and look to see if I have missed anyone.... and agree... mylot is a good, fun place to be....

But I had missed over 100, I have 4 more to do after you and i will be caught up but I will go check all my posts again to make sur - I don't have many so its easy enough to do.

I posted a topic about this concern too . I didn't see all my responses even if it said it has 50 responses. Good thing , i posted about it because @PhredWreck commented that my laptop's screen should not be over 100% .
And when i placed the screen to 100% , it sure showed all the responses , as you scroll down.

@PainsOnSlate Oh I am referring to seeing all the responses , when it says 25 or more but you are just seeing 20 because a page has 20 only .
As to the Notifications , maybe you have to go to your setting of notifications and see and check on those what you would like in your notifications .

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Not that you are not explaining it properly but because I don't understand everything I see that I call technical. I have a computer and an iPad but I haven't tried to use the iPad, yet for this site. I'm guessing it has something to do with the notifications that say " so and so plus 14 others commented on your post". As far as i can see that is why I miss so many that comment but I'm aware of that now and am working on it.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been answering all my notifications today and I hadn't even thought to go back and make sure I didn't miss anyone. Naturally I got wound up in a couple threads, they're such fun and oh so confusing sometimes that's probably why they're such fun, eh?

I have had this problem many times. Actually just yesterday I was notified of a post someone had commented on from before Halloween. When I got to the post I realized I had missed all but 1 person who commented somehow!! I went and did them all but I was in shock I did that. I have started going through all the comments on my post when I get a notification that way I can get the ones that I missed. Though I am thinking it is time to go through my other posts as well and see if I had missed anything else, I am sick today but think it will be a good day to take it easy and try that.

@PainsOnSlate Well I am very happy that I am the last that way you are all caught up. I am still slowly going through all of my posts to see what I have missed. I know of way earlier posts I had missed a lot but I am not going that far back since it was super long ago. I am still writing a post or 2 so it is taking me a little longer to get caught up but I will get there. I want everyone to feel I am not ignorning them. I am still piddling through my notifications as well. I even have suggested posts from when we could do that Haha. I always have something to do on here, plus once caught up on each post I want to go to each person on there and check out their posts as well.

It happened to me too. I sometimes have the same notification showing up twice on my list. I think it might be a glitch.

I see the twice every time - not sure why that happens but missing over 100 through me off. its take me three day to get to all of them. I am almost done.

And it was hard work. I'm down to 15 more to go out of over 100 that I missed. I am grateful for all the comments but will not depend on notification anymore.

I also try to get back to everyone. Sometimes if notifications are bunched together I might miss someone, so I check over my old discussions when I can. Though I am not sure I always succeed. And yes, for sure, the internet does make the world shrink. :-)

I like to do that too but often I haven't been on myLot for days and there are too many notifications to do in one sitting.. I do like to take care of the notifications before I write again.

@Hannihar new conversations on old posts, yes! Because often we have many here who like to talk about things, not just getting notification returned, sometimes the conversations go for weeks...

That makes sense to get the notifications out of the way. Do you notice when you finish them then you go into something else to check and then they are back again?

From the comments I'm not the only one, it happens to most so i will be checking my back posts on a regular basis at least until they become hidden by hundreds.

@PainsOnSlate ..I have gotten into the habit of looking back over my discussions every few days. I do find an occasional one that I only answered one or two members on. Pays to keep on top of it.

The first thing I do is go to my notifications and then respond, read their latest posts, leave my comment on go on from there. I, also, decided to only post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so I don't get too far behind acknowledging those who are reading me.

I am learning how to get around the site, too, and am trying not to miss people who respond to me. It's a challenge, but it's worth it to comment back and to check on their discussions. I often learn something new while checking out a connection's discussions. We all try not to miss someone, but it happens.
Yes, the photo does have something to do with the post, as you're writing about using the computer!

That's true about the computer, I found out form many on they comments that I miss the notifications because of the notifications that say- you and 9 others commented on post... its the nine that I miss. I now just go to the post and answer everyone.

bless yer heart, i've prolly missed a few's well. sometimes those multi-threaded responses get befuddle me to no end. 'course, bein' awol fer 'bout a week's gotten me that much further 'hind. i'm only human though 'n'll tackle it's it comes i reckon.

I was shocked to see how many I missed - there had to b e more than 100. I'm just now finishing catching up and returning comments back to the ones who left a comment on my, posts. I have 16 more to do after you.
