Some people stink!

I won a victory yesterday. Not just for me, but for all the pregnant girls who can't take their migraine medication, and people with asthma and perfume allergies. (No worries, I'm not pregnant, but I sit near someone who is.) In other words, I finally caught up to the girl who is apparently pouring a bucket of perfume over her head every morning. Said perfume was giving me headaches, body aches, and all manner of sinus trouble. Not only that, but since the situation was not something I could control and because I'd told the higher ups about the problem, they forgave the attendance point I got when I had to call out sick because of it. So, does anyone in your office or environment stink up the air space with their excessive perfume? Would you rather they didn't?

You can't smoke in the workplace so why should you be able to soak yourself in scent?

We are pretty well fragrance free here at home, and I no longer work. I do identify.

@Rohvannyn Where we had the most trouble was in church choir. Imagine twenty to thirty people, in choir robes, perspiring under lights and each wearing a different fragrance!! Frequently we made public service announcements at practice that people have allergies.

@GardenGerty Wow, that sounds like a really tough situation. I hope folks respected the announcement.

yes, there is one who does, her perfume lingers for HOURS after she walks through, it might even smell nice, in the appropriate amounts, but I can't tell because she marinates herself in it

yes, thankfully she only visits now and then, but it smells as though she marinates herself. It might be nice smelling, no one knows, because she wears so much. We all wonder if she thinks she is covering up a bad smell? it's horrid.

Oh I can't stand it when someone uses too much perfume, it does give me a headache too.

Dad talks about the stench that some males wear. It all bugs him. He's had words with at least one person.

people think everyone loves their perfume, especially if it's expensive - nope!

More and more places have a policy of no perfumes.

I know how bad that can be! I worked beside a lady I loved but her perfume to me smelled like beans and mold combined, yuck. I was having a pizza and that girl's scent was choking, glad she was a waitress and not a customer seated beside me!
