Getting over an ex

It's hard enough that things have come to the point of 'getting over' each other. The fact that you still text each other occasionally, or may be even bump into each other can makes things really, really hard.
What are some of the things that worked for you in getting over an ex? Let us know!

It will takes time. Time heals all wounds and you cannot force yourself to get over it in an instance. I have an ex who I cant get over for 2 years and its so hard, but in the process I became stronger and wiser.

My ex and I are very good friends, as we talk to each other everyday on the cell phone. I live in Oregon, and he lives in Washington State, so we only live two hours away by car. Anyway, he does come for the holidays so we can spen it with our son. I guess you could say, I am not completely over him as i would take him back if he asked me too, but I am not going to worry about it should it never happen. After 8 years, I have grown accustomed to being alone.

If you still love him then why try to get over him, unless of course he has got over you first. I have an ex and we had no problem simply remaining friends at a distance.
