I have been to Nepal, the northern states of India and Kashmir. The mountains are indeed a beauty. They differ from place to place. One can really feel close to nature and God at the Himalayas !!

Hey there! You have come across a real mountain lover here and someone who loves going trekking all throughout; And even though I haven't been anywhere out of my owncountry and region much,I have first hand experience of people who had been to all the greatest mountanius region of the world,namely the Himalayas,Andes,Rocky's and they all admit that what it is in the Himalayas is nowhere to be found anywhere in the world; Those can give you calm,peace,tranquility,yet can make you shiver due to their treacherous climate and steep slopes and ridges;

ive been up till the solang pass. the beauty of the himalayas is undeniable. ive gone trekking in the himalayas thrice. i cant wait to go back again! try going up into the higher altitudes. its less touristy and the barren lands have a beauty all of their own!

about to snow, at 3200 meters - may 2005, the kedarnath ranges.. you have to trek about 14 kilometers to get to this place.. the climb is insane, the path is all slippery and rocky, and the terrain is ruthless... again, something that can be done only during summer months of may to june (when the temperature is about -10 degrees c).. the rest of times, the place is out of bounds
I do agree. mountains can be an amazing and overwhelming scene to behold. as an example of that i mean, take a look at the pic that i have attached, of the kedarnath range, at about 3200 meters.. this is how the weather is in the summer (this was sometime in may last year).. the place is off limits during winters (which last about 7-8 months), and the whole population climbs down to lesser tortuous climates of southern himalayas
