Got a stove

When we moved in here we had planned on buying all new appliances and well things didn't work out as planned. We had unexpected repairs and due to having to spend money that we were not expecting to on unforeseen repairs we are not able to get the stove we had wanted when we had planned it. In anticipation of moving we had bought a hot plate to cook on thinking that it would be good enough to cook on until we got a stove. However the hot plate was not as efficient as we thought it would be and we were desperate to get a real full sized stove. Especially before the holiday but we are currently a bit strapped for cash and we would not even mind a used one. So today we looked around and just so happen to go on craigslist and find one. It was cheap working and that is all that really mattered to us. The person selling it called us to let us know that it had some cosmetic damage which we appreciated but we let them know that we were not worried about it not looking perfect as long as it worked. Well we got it home cleaned it up and guess what it works great and we are extremely happy. Now we are going to try to sell the hotplate we won't use it again. Not now that we actually have a working stove. We will be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner in the comfort of our own home which is great.

Good to hear that. I still like a stove. though a hot plate will do for cooking noodle or some other light dishes. I have not shifted home for a long time, and I hope not to move house so often.

That's great that you've got the stove in time for Thanksgiving. Is Craigslist like eBay?

I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get one cheap enough before Thanksgiving. Oh yes its a lot like ebay except that it is completely free to use. There are no fees to buy or sell or post anything its really why we use it more often than ebay.
